New Year Ceremony 2009 and upcoming Htamane Pwe

The new year ceremony is on January 4th 2009 (the Independent Day of Burma). A group of sponsor donors cordially invite you to come to our Azusa Thondra-Rama-Brahma-Vihara-Kyaung to enjoy our Burmese food.
The Htamane Pwe is on February 8th, 2009. Please come and enjoy our Burmese Htamane (Burmese Sweet Rice or Sticky rice with coconut, peanut, sesame so on).

Htamane Festival

According to the traditional Burmese Calendar, Tabodwe month with its Htamane Festival, has arrived. Burmese indigenous medicine practitioners believe that taking Htamane glutinous rice in this cold season is healthy. They believe that its heat will balance out the cold. Thus, we will conduct a Htamane Festival and treat attendees to traditional Htamane and share merits for the good deeds. We cordially invite you and your family to attend.

New Year Ceremony

The new year ceremony will be performed by Ko Pauk Pauk, Ma Maw Maw and Sandar Win Dhamma Families at Thondrarama Brahma Vihara. All Dhamma friends are cordially invited to attend.
Date: January 6th, 2008 (Sunday)
Time: 10:00 am - 1:15 pm Lunch. 01:30 pm: Sharing merits.
Food: Mandalay Mishee (noodle), desserts (cakes and assorted fruits).

Note: Flu shot vaccine will be available at the dhamma hall.
